What To Wear > Check with the tour company to see what items you are recommended to bring on your Alaska Bear Viewing tour.   It may vary with each tour company.    The main item to bring on your Alaska Bear Viewing Excursion is the proper clothing.   The summer months can be dry and warm or cool and damp.   Each day or even each hour can bring different weather, so dress in layers and be prepared since some tours last all day.   The last thing you want on your trip to view Alaskan bears is to be uncomfortable because you didn't bring the proper clothing.    Since you'll be seeing the bears and other wildlife, don't forget your digital camera or your binoculars.

If you're planning to view the Alaska Polar Bears, these tours tend to be in locations that are very cold and the conditions and exposure to the cold can be harsh.   So, remember to dress is layers, layers, layers!    If you overdress, you can always take off a layer or two, but there will be nothing worse than having your bear viewing trip marred by being uncomfortable because of the weather conditions.
